Message from the Executive Team

Dear colleagues and partners,

One powerful tailwind, a life-saving surgery, has earned Dubai Healthcare City Authority the distinction of enabling the first kidney transplant procedure performed in Dubai, under the aegis of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in collaboration with Mediclinic City Hospital.

The surgery has renewed hope for a mother of two, an Emirati who suffered from kidney failure. She looks forward to a normal life, and in her words, the surgery“has given me the opportunity to bring a new life in to this world as I would love to have my third child afterI recover”.

Many hands have shaped this medical history and indoing so, created a future for a human being.

From teams to individuals, several people have proved their commitment to innovate and deliver. The surgery is the result of an extraordinary cooperation among local, regional and international stakeholders, and a clear indicator of how the free zone is delivering its mission of enabling high quality integrated healthcare.

To further build the free zone’s position as a health and wellness destination, we have launched our first‘ Excellence Awards 2016’.

The awards will encourage within the free zone acompetitive economic environment driven by excellence, that will ultimately contribute to the sustainable growth of the UAE. We will honor the winners at a ceremony later this year and celebrate our partners’ success by recognizing their medical expertise and their exceptional customer service.
