Message from the Executive Team

Dear colleagues and partners,

The class of 2016-2022 began medical school at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in August, heralding a future in which a new generation of doctors is locally trained, right here in the Emirate of Dubai. A truly momentous occasion that gives great insight into Dubai’s commitment to sustainability and capacity building.

The University’s achievement contributes to the UAE Vision 2021 that sets out to achieve a world-class healthcare system and to develop a first-rate education system.

Qualified manpower and capacity remain one of the challenges in the health sector in the GCC, including the UAE. After all, a well-trained and competent workforce is the building block of a successful healthcare system.

For Dubai Healthcare City, this has translated into continuous efforts in education and training, as well as expanding healthcare capacity and raising awareness towards preventative health.

Phase 2 of Dubai Healthcare City, a wellness expansion in Al Jaddaf Dubai that overlooks the historical Dubai Creek, the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, and the widest stretch of the Dubai Water Canal, is working towards its ambition of becoming a wellness destination with a focus on preventative health.

Forty percent of the planned expansion is underway. Since Phase 2 launched in March last year, the location has proven its competitive advantage for investors’ healthcare and wellness projects, giving DHCC a well-defined market niche.

Milestones such as these are celebrations for all of us at Dubai Healthcare City. More so when the milestones improve accessibility to quality services and increase customer satisfaction.

The opening of the first medical center in the free zone for visa applications, named the Emirates Medical Fitness Center, is us putting customer happiness and customer experience at the heart of our growth strategy.

Over the next few months, we will share our focus towards long-term growth that will ensure operational agility and sustainability for both our existing and future partners.

About :The Dubai Healthcare City Newsletter is quarterly digital and print publication that covers successful patient stories and major events from the DHCC community as well as brings you relevant corporate updates from DHCC and the management.
