Message from the Executive Team

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

It has been yet another successful participation for Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) in the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2017!

Under the guidance of the Chairperson of Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the free zone’s developments and projects in healthcare, medical education, regulation and its wellness expansion were showcased over the four-day exhibition.

As the emirate of Dubai works to position itself as a global hub for healthcare and tourism, Arab Health was a befitting platform to demonstrate the role of Dubai Healthcare City in two of the UAE’s most rapidly growing sectors – health and education.

The UAE is making every effort to promote these sectors. In February, the UAE government approved a new visa system to attract top talent in fields of medicine, science and research to the country.

On our part, we are constantly working to develop our robust regulatory framework to ensure the highest standards of care across more than 160 specialties and to nurture more than 150 medical graduates and undergraduates to lead the future of healthcare. For the free zone, innovation towards quality and patient care, as well as customer happiness, remain the cornerstone of success.

As part of the government’s mandate to retain and attract high-caliber healthcare professionals and encourage investment in specialized healthcare services, DHCA has several initiatives in the pipeline, a few of which were announced during Arab Health.

On the opening day of the exhibition, HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, launched ‘Masaar’, the first-of-its-kind e-services system for the free zone in the presence of the DHCA leadership team. The free zone’s Excellence Awards was launched the following day.

Speaking of innovation and quality, at the Leaders in Healthcare Conference during Arab Health, our Chairperson HRH Princess Haya, said in Her keynote address, “What I am most proud of is that all of the people in the healthcare industry across the UAE are driven to do their best.” She added, “The combination of ambition and humility is the kind of balance that healthcare needs, and here in the UAE, we have that balance.”

DHCA and its verticals are driven to do the very best for our patients, partners, students, faculty and visitors, and we are counting on your continued support.
