Prospective partners/investors who wish to set up a business in the DHCC free zone can contact our Sales Team on +971 4 383 8300 (when calling from overseas) or TOLL FREE number 800-HEALTH/800-432584 (when calling locally). A sales representative will then be assigned to communicate the business set up process and will act as a primary point of contact for support.

Dubai Healthcare City Authority – Regulatory (DHCR), the regulatory body of the free zone is responsible for the establishment and registration of companies in DHCC.

Yes you can. 

Masaar, our interactive online system integrated with government and non-government agencies, offers features such as unique portfolios for existing and prospective partners; e-payments; and an application tracking system. A first-of-its-kind in the UAE, Masaar caters to a comprehensive range of services for applications and renewals including:

No, manufacturing is not a permitted activity in DHCC.

Please find the classification for minimum paid-up capital below: 

  • Non-clinical facilities/companies are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 50,000
  • Clinical facilities are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 100,000
  • Hospitals are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 300,000
  • For hotels, please refer to the below:
    • 3-star hotels are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 1 Million
    • 4-star hotels are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 2 Million
    • 5-star hotels are required to have minimum paid-up capital of AED 3 Million

 * For branches, minimum paid-up capital does not apply.

DHCA, the governing body of the free zone offers three types of legal frameworks:

  1. Free Zone Limited Liability Company
  2. Branch of a Foreign Company
  3. Branch of UAE Company/Establishment

No, DHCA only offers the two commercial license options below: 

  1. New Incorporation of a Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ-LLC):
  2. Branch of an Existing Foreign/UAE Company

 

The average processing time to incorporate a FZ-LLC or branch is 48 hours (subject to submission of all relevant documentation and payment of all fees).

No, a DHCA-issued license is valid for business operation inside DHCC free zone territory only.

Yes it is mandatory for DHCA-licensed businesses to lease premises for operation in DHCC because commercial licenses issued by DHCA are subject to leasing a premises for operation within the DHCC free zone.

A commercial license is valid for a period of one year (renewable on an annual basis).

The DHCC free zone has its own governing body: DHCA.
