DUBAI HEALTHCARE CITY WELLNESS PROGRAM TO ORGANIZE PUBLIC HEALTH SCREENING FOR DIABETES ON NOVEMBER 10

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), the world’s largest healthcare free zone, today announced that it will organize a public screening for diabetes on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in line with its commitment to the health and wellness of the UAE community.

Dubai. November 8, 2016. Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), the world’s largest healthcare free zone, today announced that it will organize a public screening for diabetes on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in line with its commitment to the health and wellness of the UAE community.

Held under the umbrella of the Dubai Healthcare City Wellness Program, the public screening, called DHCC Health Festival, will be held at Business Bay, Bay Avenue, Dubai, from 4 pm to 8 pm, to promote the importance of early detection and treatment of type 2 diabetes. 

Healthcare specialists will carry out complementary health checks and tests for vision and eye pressure, blood glucose, blood pressure, body composition analysis and bone density.

The event will bring the free zone’s quality of care closer to the community through the expertise of DHCC-based clinical facilities Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai, Sharif Eye Center, Dubai Bone and Joint Center, and Mobile Doctors.

The DHCC Health Festival will take place under the theme ‘Eyes on Diabetes’ in response to the global observance World Diabetes Day by International Diabetes Federation.

DHCC is also home to academic institution the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center.
